Lenten Reflection: “Every Disciple Will Be Like His Teacher” – The Cross as Proof of Divine Love
March 12 @ 5:15 pm

The season of Lent is a time to reflect on the solemnity of the Lord’s sacrifice and prepare our hearts for the celebration of Easter.
This year, we invite you to join the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception for our Lenten Retreat, a series of reflections entitled, “Loved by Jesus, Loving like Jesus,” offered by Fr. Sebastian White, O.P.
The first talk in this series will take place on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, immediately following the 5:15 p.m. Mass in the Crypt Church. In this first reflection, Fr. Sebastian will discuss the cross as proof of divine love.
About the Speaker:

After graduating from college, he returned to the Catholic Church. Father Sebastian then went on to study theology at the International Theological Institute in Gaming, Austria. After graduating with a Master’s degree, he was hired to work for Franciscan University’s study abroad program, also located there. In 2018, he became editor-in-chief of the monthly prayer devotional, Magnificat. In 2022, he was appointed student master at the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, D.C., where he also continues in his role at Magnificat.
