Blessing of the Bambinelli

Registration is required to attend Mass in person due to restrictions placed upon Houses of Worship by the District of Columbia which now limit the number of attendees to 250 persons per service. Register at nationalshrine.org/mass-registration/.
Following in the annual Papal tradition in Saint Peter’s Square, the National Shrine will host its annual Blessing of the Bambinelli on Sunday, December 20, 2020, at the 12:00 p.m. Mass and the 4:30 p.m. Mass. The faithful are invited to bring the Baby Jesus from their Nativity scenes to be blessed at the National Shrine on this Fourth Sunday of Advent.
Those who are unable to be at the Basilica on Sunday, December 20th are invited to participate in Mass and the Blessing of the Bambinelli via livestream at www.nationalshrine.org/mass. The faithful who participate in the Blessing of the Bambinelli virtually are invited to have their Baby Jesus with them during the virtual Mass to receive the blessing.
