National Eucharistic Pilgrimage
June 6 @ 4:30 pm

On June 6, the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage will visit Washington, D.C., marking a significant and fitting moment during the America250 commemoration. Pilgrims and visitors are invited to take part in this historic pilgrimage stop at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, “America’s Catholic Church,” where the Church in the United States gathers in prayer at the heart of our nation’s capital.
At 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, in the Great Upper Church of the Basilica, the Vigil Mass will be celebrated for the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi). The celebration of the Eucharist on this solemn feast offers a particularly fitting occasion for the pilgrimage to pass through Washington, D.C. By uniting the faithful in worship and adoration of Christ’s real presence in the Eucharist, this celebration uniquely highlights the source and summit of the Church’s life, offering a moment of unity and reflection for both the Church and nation alike.
