We invite you to join us on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 12:00 Noon ET, for a Mass of Thanksgiving upon the Inauguration of Pope Leo XIV, coinciding with our new Holy Father’s formal inauguration in St. Peter’s Square. The Basilica invites all the faithful to join America’s Catholic Church in offering thanks to God for the first Pope from the United States. The Papacy is a worldwide ministry, so we join the entire world in rejoicing and offering prayers for our Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV.

The Mass will be livestreamed at nationalshrine.org/mass.
