Lenten Reflection: What is the True Meaning of Sacrifice?

The season of Lent is a time to reflect on the solemnity of the Lord’s sacrifice and prepare our hearts for the celebration of Easter.

Rev. Gladstone “Bud” Stevens, P.S.S., the Rector of Theological College, the National Seminary of The Catholic University of America, will offer a reflection on what it truly means to Sacrifice. The talk will be given on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, immediately after the 5:15 p.m. Mass in the Crypt Church.

Following the presentations, reflections will be made available for viewing on the National Shrine’s YouTube Channel.
