The season of Lent is a time to reflect on the solemnity of the Lord’s sacrifice and prepare our hearts for the celebration of Easter.

Rev. Bro. Kevin Smith, TOR, a member of the Franciscan Friars of the Third Order Regular who is to be ordained a priest in 2024, will offer our first reflection on the connection between the beloved St. Francis of Assisi and the Stations of the Cross. The talk will be given on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, immediately after the 5:15 p.m. Mass in the Crypt Church.

Following the presentations, reflections will be made available for viewing on the National Shrine’s YouTube Channel.
