Divine Mercy Sunday
April 28, 2019

As we conclude the Easter Octave, we celebrate and give thanks to our almighty God for His mercy that was bestowed upon us through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Solemn Mass of Divine Mercy Sunday at 12 noon will be celebrated by Archbishop Augustine Di Noia, O.P., Adjunct Secretary of the Doctrine of the Faith, in the Great Upper Church.
The Marians of the Immaculate Conception will offer Recitation of the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 2 p.m., followed immediately by Mass, with celebrant and homilist Reverend Larry Swank.
Join us at 6 p.m. for the Octave of Easter Organ Recital, featuring guest organist Clay Christiansen of the Salt Lake Tabernacle. Repertoire will include works by J.S. Bach, Eben, Schreiner, Franck, Wilberg, and Reubke.
A Plenary Indulgence under the usual conditions (sacramental confession, Eucharistic Communion, and offer a prayer for the intentions of the Holy Father) may be obtained by the faithful on this day. Special extended hours of Confession are offered in the Crypt Church.
