Archdiocese of Military Services USA Pilgrimage and Memorial Mass

Military services pilgrimage

The Archdiocese of the Military Services USA will host its annual Pilgrimage and Memorial Mass on Sunday, May 19. The pilgrimage will begin with the availability of the Sacrament of Reconciliation at 3:00 p.m. in the Crypt Church of the Basilica. Recitation of the Rosary will take place in the Great Upper Church at 3:45 p.m. Following the Rosary and a musical prelude, the Most Rev. Timothy P. Broglio, Archbishop of the Military Services USA, will be the principal celebrant and homilist of the Memorial Mass that begins at 4:30 p.m.

Honoring the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces, particularly those who paid the ultimate price for American liberty, the Memorial Mass begins with the posting of the colors and singing of the National Anthem. It concludes with the playing of Taps. The Memorial Mass will be taped for broadcast on EWTN on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27 at 12 noon.
