The 2022 Lenten Reflection Series

The season of Lent is a time to reflect on the solemnity of the Lord’s sacrifice and prepare our hearts for the celebration of Easter. During the Lenten season, the Basilica hosts weekly reflections from featured speakers in the Crypt Church. Presenters, the topic of their reflections, and dates are listed below. All reflections will follow the Basilica’s regularly scheduled 5:15 p.m. Mass in the Crypt Church. Events are open to the public and no tickets or reservations are required.

Following the presentations, reflections will be made available for viewing on the National Shrine’s YouTube Channel. This post will be updated weekly with each new reflection.
