The season of Lent is a time to reflect on the solemnity of the Lord’s sacrifice and prepare our hearts for the celebration of Easter. During the Lenten season, the Basilica has two series of weekly reflections: a series of videos from our priests here at the Basilica, as well as a series of featured speakers held in the Crypt Church.
Lenten Reflection Series at the National Shrine
We invite you to join us this Lenten season as the National Shrine hosts its weekly Lenten Reflection Series. Presenters, the topic of their reflections, and dates are listed below. All reflections will follow the Basilica’s regularly scheduled 5:15 p.m. Mass in the Crypt Church.
Events are open to the public and no tickets or reservations are required. The Basilica offers free parking and is located within walking distance of the Brookland-CUA Station on Metro’s Red Line. For more information, please call the Basilica at 202-526-8300.
Reflections will be made available for viewing following the presentations on the National Shrine’s YouTube Channel.
