In solidarity with our friends at Notre Dame in Paris, and seeking the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary for all those affected by the tragedy, the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception will toll its bells 50 times (representing the 50 Hail Marys of Our Lady’s Rosary) at 6:43 p.m. this evening local time to mourn this tragedy, and to mark the beginning of a new day of hope and resurrection for Notre Dame Cathedral.
