As we prepare our hearts and minds for the sacred Triduum, we invite you to participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Choral Meditations on Eucharistic Themes

5:30 p.m., Great Upper Church

Join the Basilica Choir in a Choral Prelude to the Solemn Mass of the Lord’s Supper. The Choral prelude will begin at 5:30 p.m., with Mass beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the Great Upper Church.

Mass of the Lord’s Supper (Broadcast Live on EWTN)

6:00 p.m., Great Upper Church

At 6:00 p.m., on Thursday, April 1st, the Most Reverend Christophe Pierre, Apostolic Nuncio to the United States, will celebrate Solemn Mass of the Lord’s Supper in the Great Upper Church. For this first liturgical celebration of the Paschal Triduum, the faithful will gather to commemorate Jesus’ Last Supper with the Apostles. During the Mass, the ritual washing of the feet will take place. This Mass will be broadcast live on EWTN as well as the National Shrine’s YouTube Page.
