Join the Basilica for the ninth and final performance of the 2025 Summer Organ Recital Series on August 31 at 6:00 p.m. ET in the Great Upper Church. We welcome Sarah Palmer of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who will perform.

Sarah Palmer
Sarah Palmer is currently pursuing a M.M. in Organ Performance at the Curtis Institute of Music, where she studies with Alan Morrison. She completed her undergraduate studies at St. Olaf College under Catherine Rodland and studied piano at the Manhattan School of Music (Precollege division). She has been the recipient of several scholarships and awards, including the AGO/Quimby North Central Regional Competition for Young Organists and the 2021 Ruth and Paul Manz Scholarship. Her playing has also been featured on Pipedreams. Sarah has made many transcriptions for the organ, mostly of orchestral and concert band music. This past year she served as an assistant organist at Macy’s, where she gave regular recitals on the world-famous Wanamaker Organ. She is currently the organ scholar at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Philadelphia. She can be found on YouTube and at swpalmer.com.
