The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception is closed on Sunday, January 25, 2026, due to inclement weather. The faithful are encouraged to participate in the Basilica’s pre-recorded Sunday Mass for the 3rd Sunday in Ordinary Time on our website.
Due to inclement weather, the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception will open to the public at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 25, and Monday, January 26, and operate on a modified schedule.
The National Shrine is honored to host the reliquary of St. Thérèse of Lisieux for veneration by the faithful from November 20-22, 2025. The reliquary returns to Mary’s Shrine 26 years after its first historic visit in 1999.
In preparation for the arrival of the relics of St. Thérèse of Lisieux this November, the National Shrine has recently opened a new exhibit highlighting the history of St. Thérèse, her canonization, her connection to the National Shrine, and more.
