Reverend Andrew Knop, OMI
Father Andrew Knop serves as the Spiritual Director of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. A native of Poland, Fr. Knop grew up in a parish served by the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate (OMI), which inspired his own vocation to join the order in 1983. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1989 and came to the United States in 1991 to join the Oblate community. Father Knop has served in a variety of roles, including as Vocation Director for the Oblates, and numerous parish assignments across the United States, primarily in the Midwest and New England. Joining the Basilica in 2026, he provides spiritual direction to pilgrims and visitors, and assists those in need who come to the National Shrine seeking assistance.
