DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, May 17\, 2026\, the Archdiocese for the Military Services\, U.S.A. will host its annual Pilgrimage and Memorial Mass. The pilgrimage will begin with the availability of the Sacrament of Reconciliation at 3:00 p.m. in the Crypt Church of the Basilica. Recitation of the Rosary will take place in the Great Upper Church at 3:35 p.m. Following the Rosary\, Solemn Vespers will take place at 4:00 p.m. in the Great Upper Church. The Most Rev. Timothy P. Broglio\, Archbishop for the Military Services\, U.S.A.\, will be the principal celebrant and homilist of the Memorial Mass\, which begins at 4:30 p.m. \nHonoring the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces\, particularly those who paid the ultimate price for American liberty\, the Memorial Mass begins with the posting of the colors and singing of the National Anthem. It concludes with the playing of Taps. \n

The Solemn Mass of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon in the Great Upper Church. \nA solemn Eucharistic procession will take place at the conclusion of the 12:00 Noon Mass. The Blessed Sacrament will be processed around the east patio of the Basilica to the front entrance. When the procession reaches the main steps of the Basilica\, there will be a period of prayer\, Benediction\, and acclamation. The procession then continues to the Crypt Church where the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed through the afternoon. A brief choral meditation will occur at this time.
