DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, May 20\, 2023\, the Annual Maritime Day Mass will be celebrated at 12:10 p.m. in the Crypt Church. The Most Reverend Brendan Cahill\, Bishop of the Diocese of Victoria\, Texas and Promoter of “Stella Maris” will be the celebrant and homilist. There are more than 100 AOS chaplains\, maritime deacons and lay ecclesial serving in more than 50 ports. These chaplains serve in ministry to seafarers\, fishermen and women\, their families\, and all who work or travel on the seas.

SUMMARY:Archdiocese for the Military Services\, U.S.A. Pilgrimage and Memorial Mass
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, May 21st\, 2023\, the Archdiocese of the Military Services USA will host its annual Pilgrimage and Memorial Mass. The pilgrimage will begin with the availability of the Sacrament of Reconciliation at 3:00 p.m. in the Crypt Church of the Basilica. Recitation of the Rosary will take place in the Great Upper Church at 3:45 p.m. Following the Rosary and a musical prelude\, the Most Rev. Timothy P. Broglio\, Archbishop of the Military Services USA\, will be the principal celebrant and homilist of the Memorial Mass that begins at 4:30 p.m. \nHonoring the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces\, particularly those who paid the ultimate price for American liberty\, the Memorial Mass begins with the posting of the colors and singing of the National Anthem. It concludes with the playing of Taps.
