DESCRIPTION:In November 2025\, at the Plenary Assembly of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB)\, the U.S. bishops voted to consecrate the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in June 2026. This consecration will occur as part of the national celebrations of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. \nAs the patronal church of the United States\, located prominently in our nation’s capital\, the National Shrine stands at the center of this consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. \nAt the Basilica’s 5:15 p.m. Mass\, the Most Reverend Timothy P.
