SUMMARY:Consecration of Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, March 25\, 2022\, the Solemnity of the Annunciation\, His Eminence\, Cardinal Wilton Gregory\, the Archbishop of Washington and Chairman of the National Shrine Board of Trustees\, will celebrate a special Mass at 12:00 Noon in the Great Upper Church of the Basilica in response to the request of our Holy Father\, Pope Francis\, for the bishops of the world to join him in an Act of Consecration of Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The Mass will be open to the public and livestreamed on the National Shrine’s website. We invite the faithful and all people of goodwill to join us for this special Mass and Consecration as we pray for peace in Ukraine and around the world. \nPriests are welcome to concelebrate this Mass provided they present a celebret or Letter of Suitability from their Ordinary or Religious Superior and bring their own alb.
